In 2021, The Direção Geral do Património Cultural awarded the project EcoPLis with the maximum amount of its grant for archaeology projects. This funding will be used to produce absolute dates through several state-of-the-art laboratory methods.
The City of Leiria is a scientific, heritage, management and outreach partner of the EcoPLis project. The city also contribute to the project with financial and multiple logistical supports.
The Municipality of Leiria is a head institution of the project. It has a large brand new Museum housed in the St. Augustine Convent with great facilities including a large state-of-the-art laboratory and storage, that allow any find to be treated and stored in the perfect conditions to have all the finds well storage.
The EcoPLis field school laboratory is housed in a former primary school located in the village of Apariços, pertain of União de Freguesias de Santa Eufémia e Boa Vista. The crew is always housed and welcome also by União de Freguesias de Santa Eufémia e Boa Vista.
Sice 2021, the Universidade Autónoma de Lisboa is the academic institution in Portugal were the EcoPLis is housed, through the Departamento de História, Artes e Humanidades and its research center CICH - Centro de Investigação em Ciências Histórica. www.autonoma.pt
Instituto Terra e Memória is an organization of consulting and research in archaeology, cultural heritage management and integrated territorial management. It brings to EcoPLis logistical support, researchers and master students from all over the world through the International Master in Quaternary and Prehistory.
Uniarq is the Archaeological Research Center from the University of Lisbon. It brings to EcoPLis some of its researchers, namely working on the earliest occupations of the region and also in paleoecology.
The Municipal Water and Sanitation Services of Leiria have been given fundamental support to the EcoPLis project, namely with water and electricity, and also monitoring the sites across the year. The EcoPLis and SMAS also share information, including to what concerns to survey.

In 2015, the EcoPLis received the support of EST, S.A., a leader national company from Leiria (Boa Vista) dedicated to technical services. EST, S.A. offered the house where a team of 12 people was based for an entire month.

EcoPLis is a collaboration between the University of Algarve, the University of Tulane and the City of Leiria, along with the towns and villages that have been crucial in offering conditions such as the school used for the field laboratory, the contact with the landowners and with the people from other institutions.
